What an absolutely brilliant evening.
Sometimes, things just seem to flow, and this was one of those times.
The Major Oak Chorus was magificent, one of our frinds, Nigel, recited some poetry, we sang in Octet with 4 chorus members and had people laughing in all the right places during our spot.
Special thanks must go to the WI ladies who organised everything so well, and of course to the audience, who were very receptive and warm.

How to book Special Blend for your event.
We are currently looking for a replacement baritone as Ron has had to leave the quartet because of other committments. We are therefore unable to accept any gigs until further notice.
Special Blend welcome the opportunity to sing virtually anywhere, from a small gathering, or even to one person (your sweetheart? wife?), to large events inside and out.
Our repertoire includes comedy and show songs and some really beautiful ballads.

Just a line to say many thanks to you wonderful singers who entertained us all on Friday night.It was amazing and everyone said how much they had enjoyed the various christmas carols and all the romantic numbers you all sang.
I thought the 12 days of Christmas went exceptionally well!! and everyone joined in!
There were many of our guests who will I am sure remember the evening and later ask for your details.

We had an amazing honeymoon, we just got back yesterday. Yes it was an amazing end to an amazing day. We would like to thank you all for the amazing performance you gave on our special day. We got some feedback too from our guests and they said you were wonderful and how different it was to a run of the mill string quartet. Yes a truly memorable part to our day.

I booked Special Blend for my father's 70th Birthday party in April 2008. My family and I thought we would like something "a little bit different" in the way of entertainment for such a milestone birthday celebration.
Chris, Mick, Rob & Ron were excellent and professional entertainers. They held the audience's attention brilliantly with their choice of songs, fun choreography and great sense of humour. Special Blend were absolute gentlemen. The quality of their singing was fabulous and their costumes were very smart.
The feedback received after the party was great - they went down a storm. The managers of the party venue were so impressed with the quartet that they have booked Special Blend for a charity event at Christmas 2008, and I believe that some of the party guests were interested in booking them for other functions.
I would highly recommend this professional and fun quartet.

Quartet History
The quartet is composed of three brothers (the Whymans) and Ron Morris.
Over the years, the Whymans have had extensive experience playing throughout the UK and Europe in various groups, trios, duets and even as solo artistes. They started out working at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham as stage hands, and never looked back.
Rob, our Bass, besides being a superb singer is also a quality guitarist, whilst Mick our Tenor is a bass guitarist and until recently was a professional musician and solo artist. Chris, our Lead singer is an accomplished drummer and has had years of experience singing harmonies with various bands and groups.
Ron, our Baritone is a highly experienced Barbershop and Acapella singer, and has sung with several UK champion choruses and has toured the United States singing Barbershop.
All four singers are members of the Major Oak Chorus in Nottingham, and are also members of the British Association of Barbershoppers, the Making Music organisation and affiliate members of the Barbershop Harmony Society (US).

Our grateful thanks and appreciation go to the following people who have trained, coached, and assisted us over the past few years.
First of all, we must thank Russ Beeden (Quartet Gold Medallist) for nearly 12 month's of coaching and support during our formative year when he laid the foundations and taught us the basics.
To John Grant, (Mr Barbershop), without question one of the premier coaches in the country, who has worked with virtually every medallist quartet and chorus in the country. Our grateful thanks John.
To Glenn Chaney, the first Master Chorus Director in the UK, our singing coach and extremely good friend, who continues to coach and help us in many ways and is an all round "good egg".
To our brother quartet 4 Blokes Singing (Now Revised Edition) for their unconditional support and friendship.
To our choreographer and fanatic supporter Mandy, who helps us much more than she knows.
